The NEW Awaited 2017 VW Golf is finally available to order tomorrow (February 2017).
Ok, The exterior of the VW Golf may not have had a massive transformation but the current model is not exactly outdated, little tweaks here and there help keep the NEW VW Golf looking great and competing with some of the recently revamped hot hatches.
Noticeable changers are a wider front, LED headlamps, and more pronounced features.
The inside is where most of the “Face-lift” has occurred. Whilst trying to keep driver distraction to a minimum Volkswagen have introduced “Gesture control” rather than rows and rows of buttons. If “Virtual Cockpit” Rings any bells with you then it’s safe to say that VW’s new infotainment system with its larger screen mirrors that of Audi’s Virtual Cockpit. It really does take pride and joy firmly in the center of the cabin. An impressive 12.3 inch digital monitor is a cost option which replaces the more traditional dials.
Lane Assist which does exactly what it says on the tin, helps keep the car central to the lines and motions you if the vehicle starts to stray away from the center.
Traffic Jam Assist, helps drivers from having rear collisions by using the clever technology of ADC Automatic Distance Control.
The entry level Golf starts from £17,625 which is actually £500 cheaper than the equivalent run-outmodel.
With the controversy surrounding Volkswagen's emission “scandal” in 2015 Volkswagen have focused on improving their emissions.
A 7-Speed (DSG) Gearbox will eventually replace all 6 Speed (DSG’s)
An all-new 1.5 litre petrol engine will also be available within the range.
